I realized while studying what made this woman so blessed was because she FIRST went to GOD for wisdom.
This is a Holy Spirit inspired, updated in the light of the New Testament version of:
Proverbs 31:10-31 by Suzanne Peterson
None can find a more virtuous wife. She’s worth more than rubies, she enriches the life of her husband who trusts her and he will attest she’s good to him always and with her he’s blessed!
She shops with great ease and sows for pleasure like ships from afar she brings back a treasure. First she gets food when she talks with her Maker with insight she buys and she plants a whole acre.
She strengthens her body and mind with HIS word. She’s accomplished so much her fires are stirred. She’s anointed and gifted, her talents exceed. She gives to the poor and helps those in need.
When it’s winter for most, she has no fear, she’s been sowing and reaping for this all year. She’s covered by God’s good things she’s created, she’s dressed like a Queen, her clothes are first-rated.
Her husband’s respected, with great men he stands while she sells the garments she’s made with her hands. She’s clothed with a dignity that God Taylor-made. She laughs at the devil, faces trials unafraid.
She listens, then speaks, her words are so wise. Her kindness gives others their chance to arise. She watches her household and all that goes on, she keeps them all busy so laziness is gone.
Her children give thanks for all she has done her husband chimes in, says that no one compares to this woman, though many are great she surpasses them all, this woman, his mate.
Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting. She follows HIS ways all else is misleading. Reward all her ways and for following HIS. Her works will show others the Christian she is.
